Former ANCIENT Drummer Joins LAST EXIT
October 27, 2007Italian session drummer Diego "Grom" Meraviglia (ANCIENT, HORTUS ANIMAE, DOOMSWORD, HATE PROFILE) has joined forces with a promising Hollywood-based band called LAST EXIT.
Molding elements of indie and alternative rock, LAST EXIT's sound is "heavy but emotional and complemented with hook-rich vocal melodies reminiscent of the pure rock sound that harks back to the days of rock bands of the 1970s and the alternative sound of the early '90s," according to a press release. "The band features singer/songwriter Spence Decker, also an upcoming bright actor starring as main character and script writer for the movie 'Looking for Sunday', due out in spring 2008; British guitarists Reg and Rayne, who in 2004, together with drummer Robin Goodridge of rock band BUSH, formed London-based rock band ELYSS prior to relocating to L.A. and forming LAST EXIT; Joshua Kerr, a young bassist from Austin who worked with bands such as the SMASHING PUMPKINS and Perry Farrell, as well as producers Josh Abraham and Mark Hudson."
LAST EXIT will be perform live throughout the Los Angeles area and will enter the studio this coming week to record a set of tracks that will be included on the band's upcoming full-length album.
